As we all know, with more content comes more bugs. And I have actually be adding quite a bit of content lately, so the bugs have been keeping apace. Thanks to everyone for reporting the issues they come across and making suggestions!
- The lab radio responds a bit more realistically now. Good point, Nyther.
- Added a few more interactions to the Hollow Monstrosity. Nice suggestion, Vholes.
- Enemies with swords now use them with Swordplay. Thanks, Al!
- Corrected some issues with the rollout of the updated Southside Lab. Thanks to Cryptodynamic, Mag, and new bug reporter Acausal for helping get that sorted out.
- Bonus Melee Power while Etheric is now working properly again. Good eyes, Arkaim!
- Fixed a hall of mirrors error with the Hollow Monstrosity. Well played, GoldS, well played.
- Corrected an error recording character traits for Gang Warfare. Thanks, WilliamC.
- You now can’t report to Dr. Thomas that you failed a mission you never started. Good catch, Valmo.
Also thanks to Mag and Al for reporting some typos. Seriously only two? Either I forgot someone or my English skills are improving dramatically. Or I rolled a 20. I’m going with the last one. Critical Edit!
Cheers!

We’ve got a bumper-crop of bug fixes here in July. Thanks to everyone for letting me know when things get a little weird.
- The new explosives should work properly with Engineer Explosives. Good catch, Al.
- Eating enemies that are literally made of fire should now give more appropriate results. Thanks for the suggestion, Barton26.
- Fixed some error text popping up on stealth techniques. Thanks to new reporter Taikei no Yuurei for pointing that out.
- Made a few changes to define music a bit more consistently. Thanks to Vholes Piper for giving the nudge I needed there.
- And fixed a whole bunch of little issues with the hologram techniques that Valmo was eagle-eyed enough to notice. Well played, Valmo.
And thanks to Valmo, Heriodule, Vholes Piper, Mag, and Thrillhouse for making the game a more readable place by reporting typos.
Cheers!

Work (on Novos and the next unearthly item) is proceeding apace, but it looks like it’s about time for another round of bug fixes.
- Lo shouldn’t be confused about Dr. Amundsen’s fate when she’s sitting right next to him. Thanks Argeth!
- Fishing in the Slags no longer costs double Energy. Another good catch from our resident fishing maestro Valmo.
- Stronger than Steel runs are properly hidden when searching for Iron Man runs. Good eyes, Al!
- Tweaked the salvage results for the buzzing TZR to make sense with the fiction. Thanks, Nyther.
- Resolved an issue with Thrivaldi omega ordering multiple times in a round. You take away all my fun, Mag.
- Behind the Mask now displays consistently when it blocks attacks. Thanks again, Al!
Also, thanks to Nyther, Mag, Arkaim, and Al for some typo fixes.
Cheers!

I suppose it’s about time to report on May’s bug reports. As you may have guessed, things on my end haven’t been perfect, but I’m back on track with some cool Novos stuff.
- Hideouts should now remember the last furniture you used until you log out. Good suggestion, Nyther.
- Corrected a bit of a storyline blip in the Mushroom path through the Survivor’s quest. Thanks, Argeth!
- The “don’t have anything” message should now show up in Misc Items. Thanks for the first bug report, aospark!
- Fixed a Novos site that was linking not only to the wrong site, but to the wrong OS. Good catch, Arkaim.
- Various and sundry Novos bugs were also resolved, thanks to the keen eyes of Thrillhouse, Barton26, Argeth, Cryptodynamic, and Al.
Also, thanks to Al, Mag, Thrillhouse, and Argeth for help tracking down some typos.
Cheers!

Midgard and Metroplex U have completed their switch over to Novos!
So, all the quest hacking should now be handled through Novos. Even FunTime Products.
Like real world OS switches, this has almost assuredly broken something weird. So, if you run into any issues, let me know.
P.S.: I also made some subtle changes to the existing routines to make their results match the narrative better.
Cheers!

Novos continues to be our big source of bugs. It’s probably not irony, but meta-bugs do amuse me.
- Fixed some Novos crash bugs thanks to Factitious and Happy Yeti.
- Also corrected the case of the disappearing pointer in Novos. Thanks for the bug report, xKiv.
- Gang warfare messages should report victory or failure regardless of why the battle ended. Good eyes, PenguinPyro.
- Various results of designer vine crafting are now properly usable thanks to Al, GoldS, and Valmo. Thanks!
Also, thanks to Dennis, Mag, Happy Yeti, Factitious, Al, Arkaim, Cryptodynamic, GoldS, and DoctrZombie for some help fixing typos.
Cheers!

As mentioned on the last podcast, now that Puyo has moved out here, we can now put our heads together a little more easily and handle custom avatars.
You can probably see where this is going…
Custom avatars (in the form of antique cameras) are now available in Zack’s House of Coins! Wooo!
They’re six coins each, so I apologize if anyone gets sticker shock, but there’s just a lot of labor that goes into something like this. Particularly because we’re talking about Puyo literally drawing your avatar, which… just gets cooler the more I think about it.
I don’t really have a firm handle on how long the turn-around of these will be. I’m guessing weeks, which is probably a safe bet, but it might end up being longer depending on how many get requested and what Puyo’s life looks like.
For what it’s worth, if anyone’s worried about this replacing the stream of difficult-to-discover-non-custom-avatars… it won’t. So no worries.
Cheers!

With new content comes new bug fixes (and typos, so many typos). We’ve also got a few older ones in here that were waiting for some bugfixy friends.
- Thanks to Heriodule, Barton26, Mosquito, Al, and Mag for helping the Novos rollout go smoothly.
- The All Resets view now includes the year, thanks to a suggestion from Mag.
- Reminded certain students on campus that the museum isn’t in ruins. Good catch, Dennis!
- Properly defleshed Trash Golems. Thanks for taking a bite for the team, Heriodule!
- And Iron Man runs now show up properly in the reset record. Congrats and thanks, Mag!
As far as typos go, thanks to Mag, Dennis, Al, PenguinPyro, Tros Dal, Arkaim, Thrillhouse, Argeth, and Xerf for tracking those down. And GoldS, especially GoldS.
Cheers!

Novos, the new hacking system, has started rolling out today.
Started?
I say “started” because I’m trying a bit of something different. I’ll be rolling this out in stages, interspersing it with other content.
So, try it out if you want, see what you think. It won’t fully replace the existing hacking content for a while now, but it won’t hurt to get familiar with it either.
In the meantime, there’s all the old hacking content plus the new stuff as it comes in, so hopefully you won’t find too much to complain about :)
What’s the point?
The original hacking system is a mess on a lot of levels. I was going to have to tear it down and rebuild it eventually anyway, so I’d like to get that done before I build Oldtown content on top of it.
I hope, with this redesign, that we can end up with a lot less fiddly management outside the hacking interface and a lot more interactivity within that interface. We’ll see about that one as everything gets in.
Anyway, best of luck! I hope you enjoy what’s there.
Cheers!
