Following Halloween’s update, I’ve been back to keeping better track of bug reports. Here’s a roundup for November and the start of December:
- Added some Horror Westerns to appease Mag’s insatiable thirst for bl… Horror Westerns.
- Cleaned up how skills are displayed in other player’s profiles. Thanks for the idea, Kinak!
- Bathing in blood is now less time-consuming. Thanks for reporting that, Heriodule!
- Fixed a URL manipulation issue with shops. Thanks Al!
- Sorted out a quick issue in the main location page. Thanks DerMagus and SmokeyCastle!
- Fixed an issue with the Holosight Rifle not applying its bonus correctly. Good catch PenguinPyro!
- Zack now returns toad statues properly. Thanks for the head’s up, Al!
And thanks to Nosearmy, Mag, Cryptodynamic, Nyther, and Penguinpyro for some typo fixes.

We have a couple bug fixes and a massive pile of typos to report from the month of May.
- Cheating into the Slags computers should clear any alerts you may have. Good suggestion ShadowWolf.
- Made some tweaks to the Quad quest. Thanks for the suggestions Al and Happy Yeti!
- Red Metal Gaze should properly count as “sciency” again. Good catch Valmo!

It occurs to me that I haven’t done a master bugfix post in a while. How do I know? Because I have a giant pile of them to post. Enjoy!
- Corrected an infinite items bug, thanks to GoldS. If GoldS was a country, I’d be waving a little GoldS flag right now.
- Fixed a bug that made Gang Warfare unavailable. Thanks for catching that, cudgelist and DerMagus!
- Undestroyed the Metroplex University Computer Lab. Thanks for the bug reports Argeth, Liasi, and Mosquito.
- Fixed a funny issue where the links on the Golden Chip leaderboard were going to random gangs. Good eyes Mag and Francis Vixen.
- Corrected a bug preventing the Signal Tracker from being sold, back when it was sellable… which it isn’t anymore… Thanks for unbreaking the event, Happy Yeti and DoctrZombie.
- The mouseover for the Waterfront now appropriately says The Waterfront rather than The Docks. Thanks for the new eyes on that Heriodule!
- I have a note here that says “Broke the news to 05Cleaner (Argeth)” Not sure time I meant, but Argeth’s reported a lot of issue’s with 05Cleaner’s dialogue. Thanks!
Also thanks to Mag, BigBellyJarelli, Thrillhouse, Cank, Factitious, Elliotbay, OgremanSam, Cryptodynamic, Al, Sir Cheddar, and GoldS for catching some typos. That… is a lot of typos. Seriously, thanks :)

First off, there are a couple of new options in the Net screen:
- Targets can now be individually removed with the aptly named “Delete Link” option.
- Target Search and Intrusive Search can now be run directly from the Net screen.
And some updates:
- When modifying a deck to contain less than 15 Techniques, it will now tell you exactly how many you have. Good catch, Al.
- Bonuses to Combat XP now apply even if you’re beating up poor defenseless creatures that don’t grant any XP on their own. Thanks Cank!
- OmniMall will now appropriately interpret commas when you’re using it to launder fat sacks of cash. Good thought, Al!
- In theme with our updates, you can no longer anti-hack the Prototype Trenchcoat into giving you negative energy of Sloppy Hacker. Thanks for the bug report, Al!
Also corrected some typos from Vordrax, Mag, Francis Vixen, Xerf, Cryptodynamic, DerMagus, and Arkaim. Thanks, everyone!

Added a couple new tricks to the Tome of Binding. On a totally unrelated note, some of you may have a spooooooky present waiting out there.
Fixed some pretty noticeable bugs:
- Fixed an SQL Injection (read: very bad) security flaw, thanks to Elias. You rule!
- Fixed a bug where earthly runs weren’t being recorded for season resets. Thanks for the bug report, Happy Yeti. And for, you know, not killing me :)
- Corrected some issues with simple recipes. Thanks to Vholes Piper, Al, and DerMagus.
Also corrected some typos thanks to Kranodor, Suuljin, Mag, and Factitious. Go team!

Made a couple changes to unearthly items (no worries, they’re all good) and some bug fixes.
- You can now run your fingers through your luxurious Feathered Cloak when equipped. Good suggestion, Mag!
- The Cheater’s Line and Challenge Hook were buffed. Merry Christmas!
- Corrected a bug preventing Dynamite from blowing up the wall into the Underground Asylum. Thanks, Plus4
- Fixed the anticipated ton of bugs resulting from the combat update last weekend. Thanks to Wyrd, Mag, Argeth, and DerMagus!
- Becoming a prospective Third Eye member should now show up in your Completed Quests. Good eyes, Glass!
- Also corrected some typos, thanks to Llamaman, xKiv, and Mag.
Also, I’m considering changing how choose your powder to pour into the puzzle box. It’d go from a traditional choice into a dropdown. They’d lose their individual responses, but it’d be way easier for me to add more in the future. If that’d bother anyone, please speak up.

And now for your daily dose of Vitamin U(pdate). I mostly pushed this out so the first update wouldn’t be a surprise, but there are some other things I’ve done over the last few days.
- Increased the difficulty of the “high road” in the Slags Building to balance it a bit better with the low road. Thanks for the suggestion, Al!
- Added some interactions with the Rhythm Game in the University Computer Lab. Thanks for the nudge, Llamaman.
- Polished the salvage results from fishing poles. Good suggestion, Vholes.
- Corrected an issue where Ghoultouched wasn’t working properly against delicious, delicious masses of tentacles. Good catch, DerMagus!
- Removed the extra footer from the bottom of hacking fights after accidentally adding it again. Thanks Al!
- Cleaned up some unearthly coin effects. Thanks Glass!
- And apparently no typos this time. Weird, huh?

We have some interface updates and an interesting bug fix today.
- Entering chat will now automatically /who for your primary (oldest active) channel. Thanks for the suggestion, Wyrd.
- Net targets found in searches will now have their names appear as links, saving the need to search through the list for a new site. Good suggestion Harrakan.
- All clickable or hoverable text in the game should now give a distinct cursor to separate it from all that boring old readable text. Thanks to Wyrd and Al for this one.
- Resolved an interesting bug where skill bonuses where being double (or, you know, octuple) counted. Thanks to DerMagus and Amasius for reporting it!
- We’ve also got a parcel of typo fixes from Argeth, Wyrd, Caradal, Mag, and Glass. Thanks!
